The set brings together two kits separated by seventy years, which nonetheless belong together. The modern Eurofighter Typhoon was given a Battle of Britain camouflage finish for a display season, as a tribute to a particular historical machine, and that historical machine forms the second half of the package. The finished models standing side by side thus show the same camouflage on two entirely different silhouettes. According to the manufacturer's data the set has 97 parts in all and the difficulty corresponds to the second level, that is a build within the reach of less experienced modelers.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was a British single-seat fighter with a liquid-cooled V12 engine and a mixed fuselage structure of a tube frame covered with fabric. In the Battle of Britain it shot down more enemy machines than any other type. The Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4, by contrast, is a present-day multirole combat aircraft in a delta layout with foreplanes, powered by a pair of turbofan engines.
Finish and varnish the cockpits of both machines before the fuselages are closed. On the Hurricane reckon with the fabric covering of the rear fuselage, whose structure is best brought out only after varnishing. Plan the masking of the camouflage lines on both machines in advance, so that the two models come out in matching shades. Fit the underwing armament of the modern machine at the very end.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
