A set of masking templates Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc in 1:72 scale from SX-Art. It is not a kit but an aid for crisp cockpit framing.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of self-adhesive masking templates, not a model of the airplane. The templates are cut to the shape of the glazing of the Spitfire Mk.Vc in 1:72 scale and their point is to take the place of the long business of cutting strips of masking tape. The result is straight canopy framing of even width, which decides the quality of a finished model more than anything else.
The Spitfire Mk.V was the most numerously produced version of the legendary British fighter and in 1942 it formed the backbone of the fighter force. The designation Mk.Vc means the universal C-type wing, which made it possible to change the armament according to the task. Machines of this version flew over England, over Malta and in North Africa, where they often carried a tropical filter under the nose and a different camouflage scheme.
Wash the clear part in lukewarm soapy water, rinse it and let it dry, because grease from your fingers is the most common cause of masks coming loose. Carry the templates with tweezers and, once they are laid on, press them down properly, above all in the corners. Cover the rest of the glazing with tape or with masking liquid. Spray first a thin coat of the interior color, then the base and the covering shade, always in several light coats. Take the masks off before the finish has fully cured.
The set does not contain a model, paints or glue.
