Quickboost engine for the T-28 Trojan and the Fennec (1:72)

A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, intended to refine the plastic kit of the North American T-28 Trojan trainer and light combat aircraft, known in its French form as the Fennec, in 1:72 scale. The set holds a faithfully cast radial engine with a fine detail of the cylinders.

The real subject

The T-28 Trojan was an American piston-engine trainer powered by a radial engine; in its converted Fennec form it also served on light combat duties. Under an open cowling the radial engine is a prominently visible part that plastic often simplifies.

Usage tips

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The engine comes alive once it is picked out with a dry brush and a fine patina.
