A plastic kit of the captured T-34 in the anti-aircraft vehicle version (Flakpanzer) from UM in 1:72 scale captures the Soviet tank rebuilt by the German army into a carrier for an anti-aircraft gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from UM in 1:72 scale represents a captured Soviet T-34 tank rebuilt by the German army into a self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle (Flakpanzer). The set holds plastic parts for the hull, the open superstructure for the anti-aircraft weapon and extra photo-etched parts.
The German army rebuilt selected captured T-34 tanks so that an open anti-aircraft superstructure with a rapid-firing weapon of smaller caliber took the place of the original turret. Vehicles like these served to protect units against low-flying aircraft. They were improvised solutions in limited numbers, supplementing the standard anti-aircraft equipment.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. The open anti-aircraft superstructure gives a view into the interior, so careful painting and weathering pay off. Use liquid cement on the plastic; we recommend a primer, an airbrush and bringing out the detail with washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
