Attack Hobby Kits - metal 85 mm D-5T barrel (1:72) is a turned brass barrel for T-34/85 tank models.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accurately turned brass barrel for the 85 mm D-5T gun, intended to replace the plastic barrel from the T-34/85 tank kit in 1:72 scale. The metal gun barrel has a straight axis, a crisp muzzle and fine surface relief; it is a refining accessory from a Czech maker, not a model.
The 85 mm D-5T gun was fitted in the turret of early versions of the Soviet T-34/85 tank and meant a marked increase in firepower over the previous 76.2 mm caliber.
Cut off the original plastic barrel, clean up the opening in the mantlet and glue the brass barrel in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with primer, so that it holds the color well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
