A resin kit of the Soviet T-38Sh amphibious light tank in 1:72 scale from the Belarusian maker Zebrano. It is a short-run model intended for more experienced modelers who are used to working with resin parts, casting blocks and a smaller number of precisely cast components. The unusual subject makes the model an interesting piece for a collection of interwar and early war Soviet vehicles.
The T-38 was a small Soviet amphibious scout light tank. The experimental T-38Sh variant came about in an effort to increase firepower by installing a 20 mm ShVAK cannon, hence the Sh suffix. The vehicle failed its trials and remained only in prototype form, which makes it all the rarer as a modeling subject.
First wash the mold release off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Follow the uniform Soviet green finish with washes and pigments to bring out the running gear and add a hint of dust.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
