A plastic kit of an American self-propelled gun from the development series designated gun motor carriage. It is worth pointing out right at the start that the T72 designation belongs to the American system of development designations and has nothing to do with the later Soviet T-72 tank. The model is in 1:72 scale and belongs to a group in which the same manufacturer has rendered several American carriages of this category, so it can be collected as a coherent series.
In American terminology of the Second World War the term gun motor carriage means a self-propelled carriage, that is, a gun carried on a mobile chassis usually derived from a tank. Designations beginning with the letter T were assigned to development and test types; only after being taken into service did a machine receive a designation with the letter M. A number of these carriages remained prototypes and never reached series production, and that is exactly why they are interesting for modelers - most collections do not have them.
In 1:72 scale the cleanliness of the work matters most: separate the parts with a sharp cutter, sand the parting lines and try the assembly dry before gluing. Finish the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull up. Glue the barrel exactly on the axis and fit it only at the end. Apply the paint in thin coats, so the engraved detail is not lost, and keep the weathering lighter than you would give a larger model. Dust on the lower part of the hull and a light dry brush on the edges are amply enough.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
