The Tatra 87 Cabrio (Kommandeurwagen) in 1:72 scale from Attack Hobby Kits is a short-run kit of the legendary Czechoslovak car in its open staff version.
Responsibility details are not available.
This short-run kit captures the Czechoslovak Tatra 87 in the cabriolet (open) form used as a staff car, the so-called Kommandeurwagen. The kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker is built on injection-molded plastic, which is usually supplemented by photo-etched parts and decals for several marking options.
The Tatra 87 was a luxurious aerodynamic sedan designed by Hans Ledwinka and built from the second half of the 1930s. It was powered by an air-cooled eight-cylinder engine mounted at the rear and the car became famous for its striking tail with a dorsal fin. Cabriolet and staff versions served during the Second World War as ceremonial and command vehicles.
With a short-run kit, dry-fitting the parts and careful cleaning up are recommended. Join the plastic with a thin cement, and any photo-etched and resin parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The body comes out best with gloss paints over a good base; once it is painted, consider light weathering and a gloss varnish under the decals. The glazing and the chrome trim complete the overall impression.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
