Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Japanese maker Fine Molds. It is not a model of an aircraft but of the American Tomahawk cruise missile. Two missiles with bases of their own can be built from the box, one in the launch position and the other in flight with the wings and tail surfaces deployed. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Tomahawk is an American subsonic long-range cruise missile intended for precise strikes against ground targets. The version designated RGM-109 is launched from surface ships; after leaving a vertical launch canister the missile deploys its wings and tail surfaces and continues to the target at low altitude. Tomahawks are among the best known weapons of their kind.
The kit stands out for its thin and faithfully done wings and tail surfaces, so go carefully when cleaning the parts up. Use thin cement for plastic, spray the missiles with a primer and paint them with an airbrush; the enclosed decals add the fine lettering and markings. The launch and flight versions on their bases make a striking pair for a display case.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
