The IBG 1:72 Type 89 KOU is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese medium tank in the gasoline form.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Polish brand IBG. The model represents the Japanese medium tank Type 89 in the KOU version with a gasoline engine, in the hybrid (transitional) production form. Collectors as well as builders of smaller dioramas will appreciate the small scale.
The Type 89 was a Japanese interwar medium tank, one of the first Japanese tanks built in series. The KOU version was powered by a gasoline engine (the later form went over to diesel). The tank carried a short gun and machine guns and was committed in the fighting of the 1930s and the early Second World War.
In 1:72 scale the parts are small, so work with a sharp knife and tweezers and glue with liquid cement. Assemble the running gear carefully before painting. Lay the base on with an airbrush, then bring out the panels with a wash, add scuffed paint and dust pigments for a period look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
