A resin detail set in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Black Dog. It holds resin parts for a faithful rendition of the open bomb bay of the Lockheed P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft (the UP-3D version). The set is an aftermarket accessory; the airplane model itself is not included in the package.
The Lockheed P-3 Orion is a four-engine turboprop maritime patrol and anti-submarine aircraft. The UP-3D version served for training and support tasks. The bomb bay space in the forward lower part of the fuselage is one of the details this set offers to open up and fit out.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue the resin with super glue and protect your airways while sanding. Apply a filler primer and bring out the inside of the bomb bay with washes and drybrushing to emphasize the structure and the stiffeners.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
