Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the attack helicopter Boeing AH-64D Apache in the Block II standard, in its late version, in 1:72 scale from Academy. The model is rendered in light gray plastic with clear parts and offers several marking options. Compared with the earlier release of the early version, this kit has reworked exhaust ducts. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The AH-64 Apache is the main attack helicopter of the US Army. The AH-64D Longbow version is distinguished by the characteristic radar dome above the rotor head, which markedly raises its ability to find and engage targets. The Apache carries anti-tank guided missiles, unguided rockets and a turreted cannon and is used for direct fire support and for destroying armored vehicles. The late Block II machines differ from the earlier ones in, among other things, details of the powerplant.
The cockpit and the instrument panels come into their own after being brought out with a wash and dry-brushing. Bond the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic and protect the clear glazing from fogging. The typical finish is matte dark green, which is nicely complemented by a light shading of the panels and a slight dust patina; do not forget the armament under the stub wings and the bold US Army markings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
