Mirage Hobby M5A1 Stuart (Late) 1:72 is a plastic kit of the American light tank in the version from Normandy in 1944.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the American M5A1 light tank in the late version, in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Mirage Hobby. The model is tuned to a particular vehicle of the 4th Armored Division in Normandy in July 1944. The set offers a well-broken-up plastic base and decals for period markings and suits a standalone model as well as a diorama.
The M5A1 was the version of the Stuart light tank powered by a pair of Cadillac engines and armed with a 37 mm gun. The late version had small design changes to the turret and the hull. In American armored divisions Stuart tanks carried out mainly reconnaissance and escort duties, and in Normandy they took part in the fighting after the landings in 1944.
Separate the small parts in 1:72 with a sharp knife and clean them up gently. Assemble and fine-tune the running gear before closing the hull. Use a thin cement on the plastic and super glue on any photo-etched parts. Apply a primer and spray the paint with an airbrush; the base olive green finish is well complemented by a panel wash, edge highlighting and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
