Unlike detail accessories, this is a whole machine: a complete kit printed from resin out of which a standalone model arises. The designation of the short and the long version means that during the build you choose which form of the frame you want to build. Three-dimensional printing manages even the tiny items that could not be made by injection molding in this scale.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry, then cut the supports off with a sharp scalpel and sand the marks from them down. The joints are held by super glue. Sand wet and protect your breathing. Before painting comes a thin coat of primer, otherwise the shade will not take hold on smooth resin and will rub off during handling.
On the flight deck of an aircraft carrier the machines are not moved under their own power. That is taken care of by low tow tractors which fit even under a wing, have an exceptionally low build and will pull loads of several tons. The model suits a deck scene, a parked aircraft, or it will serve in a display case as a standalone exhibit next to larger equipment.
It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints and glue are not enclosed.
