A set of four wheel chocks to go under the wheels of US Navy aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A wheel chock is a small thing that gives a scene believability faster than many a large accessory. An aircraft standing on a deck or on an airfield is never left unsecured, and a modeler who adds chocks under the main wheels thereby tells the viewer that the machine is resting. According to the name there are four pieces in the package, so they are enough for one aircraft with both main wheels secured, or for two machines in a scene where only one side is visible.
In 1:72 scale these are very small parts, so have tweezers ready and work over a mat from which a dropped piece can be found. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry so that the paint holds. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down. Choose the glue to match the material of the parts; on parts that are not of polystyrene, cement for plastic models has no effect and it is a super glue that holds the joint. The chocks are easier to paint before they are set in place and to attach to the model only at the end, so that they do not break off during further work. In a scene they can also simply be laid loose, with just a drop of glue to the base.
For builders of carrier and land-based aircraft who want a small scene beside their model, and for dioramas where the believability of the detail matters. The chocks are a standalone accessory; the model of the aircraft is supplied separately.
The paints, the glue, the base and the tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
