An injection-molded plastic kit of the four-engine heavy bomber Boeing B-29A Superfortress in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Academy. This edition bears the name of one particular machine, Old Battler, and covers a detailed cabin interior and bomb bay, an optional position for the landing gear and the bomb bay doors, and a finely engraved surface. The decal sheet is supplied by the respected maker Cartograf.
The B-29 Superfortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber with a pressurized cabin, fielded at the close of the Second World War above all in the Pacific and Asian theaters. It was marked out by its long range, its load and its remotely controlled defensive armament. The B-29A version was one of the production variants.
On a large model, mind firm and clean joints of the fuselage and the wings, and fill and sand down any gaps. Paint and assemble the interior and the bomb bay before closing the fuselage. The extensive natural metal areas are handled well with metallic paints on a smooth base, and the Cartograf decals go on over a gloss varnish. A large model needs more space both on the bench and in the display case.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
