Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotor (an aircraft with tilting rotors) in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa, in the markings of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). The engine nacelles at the wingtips can be turned into the vertical (helicopter) and the horizontal (airplane) position. A display stand is usually included as well. Check the particular contents and schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor that combines the ability to take off and land vertically like a helicopter with the speed and range of a turboprop aircraft. By turning the nacelles with the rotors at the wingtips it passes between hovering and fast forward flight. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) took the Osprey into service for transport duties and the rapid movement of units. The folding wings and rotors also allow compact stowage aboard ships.
Pay attention to the nacelle tilting mechanism, which is usually held by poly caps so that it stays movable. Fit the numerous antennas and aerodynamic features carefully and only at the end of the build, so that they do not break off. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and cover the cockpit glazing with masks. For the dark JGSDF schemes an airbrush and subsequent gentle highlighting of the panel lines work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
