The wheels 1:72 Wheels Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik from the 77propeller brand are cut for the Il-2 kit from the Tamiya company.

The set replaces the wheels of a model of the Soviet ground-attack aircraft. The kit it is cut for is stated, because the brand offers alongside it a second set of wheels for the same aircraft meant for a model from another maker, and otherwise the two items would look interchangeable. The kit itself is not included.
Il-2 ground-attack aircraft operated mostly from improvised grass airfields near the front, where in spring and autumn the surface turned into a sea of mud. The designers therefore gave the machines a robust landing gear with bulky tires, which retracted to the rear into nacelles under the wing and in the retracted state stayed partly exposed. It was precisely this feature that saved more than one crew in a belly landing. In period photographs the wheels tended to be so clogged with soil and dust that the pattern of the tread was barely perceptible.
Mix a dark gray tone instead of pure black and set the hub apart with a shade of its own. For a credible look, apply dried mud to the lower part and into the grooves in several coats of differing shade, from lighter dust to darker dried soil. Unify the rest of the landing gear nacelle with the same palette.
It is supplied without paints, without glue and without the aircraft.
