Plastyk 1:72 Yakovlev Yak-1M is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet fighter of the Second World War period.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from a Polish manufacturer captures the lightened version of the Soviet Yak-1 fighter. It is a simpler model from an older-generation mold, which will be appreciated by collectors of Soviet aircraft and by modelers of the Eastern Front.
The Yak-1M was a lightened and aerodynamically improved development stage of the Yak-1 fighter, powered by a V12 engine. The reduction in weight and the better view from the cockpit improved both agility and performance, and the machine became one of the forerunners of the later, outstanding Yak-3. It was committed on the Eastern Front of the Second World War.
With an older mold, clean the fit up: fill the joints and sand them down, and treat the surfaces with primer. Glue with thin cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage up and mask the glazing while spraying. Use gloss varnish before the decals and finally even the surface out with matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
