An injection-molded plastic kit of the Hungarian Zrínyi II assault gun in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer IBG. The model captures an assault gun built on the chassis of a Hungarian tank and fitted with a short 105 mm howitzer in a fixed fighting superstructure. The package contains parts in gray plastic, the tracks and a decal sheet with markings, from which you assemble a compact fighting vehicle with all the characteristic features of the real thing.
The Zrínyi II was a Hungarian assault gun of the Second World War period, derived from the chassis of the Turán medium tank. It carried a short 105 mm howitzer in an enclosed superstructure and was intended for direct fire support of the infantry. Only a few dozen were built, and the Hungarian army used them mainly in the defensive fighting at the close of the war.
Assemble the running gear and the lower hull tub first, and only then close up the superstructure, so that the tracks and road wheels can be glued on properly. Sand the seams carefully. Once the basic Hungarian camouflage has been painted, apply a dry brush to the edges and raised details, a wash in the recesses and dust and mud pigments to the lower areas for faithful weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
