A plaque 25 mm in size with the designation of the 29th Waffen-SS Grenadier Division, given in the name with the abbreviation RONA. A descriptive accessory for a diorama and a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
The plaque carries the designation of a Waffen-SS unit of the Second World War, that is the 29th Grenadier Division, which the name completes with the abbreviation RONA. It is a historical designation of a unit which in a modeling scene fills a single role: to document whom the displayed model or diorama represents. The label replaces explaining, and a viewer connects a scene with a particular formation without someone having to stand by the display case and tell him.
A plaque 25 mm in size is a descriptive accessory, not a part of a model. It is placed on a base, on the front edge of the base of a diorama or on a shelf beside a displayed piece. Clean and degrease the surface before settling it and try the position dry; go by the manufacturer's instructions for the method of fixing. The small size is deliberate, as a label is meant to accompany a model and not to overpower it.
In a larger display case it pays off to keep a single system. Place the plaques on every piece in the same position, best in the middle of the front vertical edge of the base, and at the same height above the surface of the shelf. A collection then reads as orderly even when the models are of different sizes and from different theaters. On dark wood or on a varnished base a small plaque stands out more than on a light surface, which is worth counting on when choosing the base.
For builders of dioramas on the subject of the Second World War and for collectors who want uniform descriptive plaques on their models. Paints, glue and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
