The plates serve as a firm, perfectly flat backing onto which self-adhesive abrasive paper, or paper with double-sided tape, is stuck. A flat and rigid surface allows accurate sanding without rounding the edges, which is ideal when cleaning up parts and walls. The finish is blue; that is anodized aluminum and has no effect on the abrasive properties.
For modelers who want accurate flat sanding without rounding surfaces. Abrasive paper is not included and is bought separately according to the grit needed.
Sanding produces fine dust; work in a ventilated area and clean the surfaces as you go.
