The Kawanishi H8K Emily in 1:144 scale is a finished painted collector's model of the four-engine Japanese flying boat, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A finished collector's item, assembled and painted, from the Junior 1:144 range, the manufacturer's part number PIXJ008010. The model is unpacked and stood in a display case - no modeling work awaits it. For this range the manufacturer gives a metal fuselage with the wing and other parts in plastic. The correct designation of the subject is H8K, with the series-built version being the H8K2. Check the coloring and the extent of the package on the box.
The H8K was a four-engine flying boat of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service, to which the Allies gave the code name Emily. It was used for long-range patrols over the Pacific, for bombing and for transport tasks. Unlike most Japanese machines of the time it was not defenseless: it carried heavy defensive armament and armor, so Allied pilots regarded it as one of the toughest seaplanes of the war. Fewer than two hundred were built, so it is a rare subject even in collections of models.
On a four-engine seaplane in 1:144 what decides is the cleanliness of the printing, the seating of all four engine nacelles and the smoothness of the joint between the wing and the fuselage. The aircraft has no landing gear, so it stands on a base or on a stand - check whether one is present on the box. The model is intended for display, it is not a toy: the metal fuselage is heavy.
This is a finished model, not a kit. Check the workmanship, the assembly, the painting and the extent of the package on the box.
