Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian experimental Sukhoi Su-47 Berkut in 1:144 scale from Trumpeter. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit captures the unmistakable shape with its forward-swept wing; even in the small 1:144 scale its unusual silhouette stands out. Take the exact contents of the box from the enclosed instructions.
The Su-47 Berkut was a Russian experimental technology demonstrator with a characteristic forward-swept wing. This configuration promised high agility and good control at large angles of attack, but it placed exceptional demands on the stiffness of the wing structure. The aircraft was used to research advanced aerodynamic solutions and only a single example was built, as a flying laboratory rather than as a production combat fighter.
In 1:144 scale the parts are small, so clean them up carefully with a sharp knife. Mask the cockpit glazing before spraying. Spray the base over a primer with thinned paints; the dark experimental scheme comes to life once the panel lines are lightly emphasized with a thin wash. A matte or satin clear coat will unify the surface. Because of the unusual shape it is a good idea to display the model on a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
