The Type IIB U-boat (1943) in 1:144 is a plastic kit of the German coastal submarine of the Second World War from ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Type IIB coastal submarine as it stood in 1943, in 1:144 scale. The set from ICM captures the hull with its suggested welded seams and offers variants of the conning tower. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
German Type II submarines were small coastal boats deployed from the beginning of the war. The IIB version was somewhat longer and had a greater range than the original form. These boats served for operations in coastal waters and for training crews. The state as of 1943 matches the later changes to the fittings.
The suggested welded seams on the hull stand out once they are picked out gently with a wash. Glue the hull carefully so that no gap appears along the keel. The gray wartime finish with a darker top is typical; paint with an airbrush and add a light coat of salt and rust effects. Choose the conning tower according to the unit, following the instructions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
