The Legacy GT Touring Wagon is a fast station wagon with which Subaru showed in the 1990s that a roomy car can have the output of a sports model. Under the hood works a turbocharged four-cylinder boxer of the EJ20 series lying flat, so the car has a low center of gravity, and the power reaches the road through all-wheel drive. It was precisely this combination of a flat engine, permanent all-wheel drive and a station wagon body that became the hallmark of the brand, and in Japan a whole class of fast wagons grew out of it. The Legacy also made a name for itself in competition: the RS sedan version ran the world championship before the Impreza took its place in the team.
With car kits it is the paint that decides. Sand the body first, lay a filler primer, then the color in thin layers and a gloss clear coat last; polish the surface once it has dried. Mask the windows, the lights and the chrome frames, or glue them last with cyanoacrylate glue, so that a thin cement does not fog the clear parts. Finish the interior and the engine bay before you join the body to the floor.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
