An injection-molded plastic kit in the large 1:32 scale capturing the Sea Hurricane Mk.IIc — the carrier-borne version of the legendary British fighter Hurricane. The model from the manufacturer Revell offers a richly detailed surface and a size that lets the detail of the airframe and of the armament show to good effect.
The Sea Hurricane was the naval derivative of the land-based Hurricane, adapted for operation from the aircraft carriers of the British Fleet Air Arm. Compared with the land version it was given a tailhook and further modifications for carrier service. The Mk.IIc version was armed with four 20 mm Hispano cannon in the wings, which made it a heavily armed fighter and attack machine. It found employment protecting convoys and in other tasks of naval aviation during the Second World War.
Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic and sand the joints down once they have set. Apply a primer before painting. The large 1:32 scale invites you to bring out the rivets, the panel lines and the wear with washes and a dry brush; the camouflage and the lower surfaces are best sprayed with an airbrush. We recommend finishing the cockpit interior before you close up the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
