This figure set from the Ukrainian maker ICM contains three plastic figures of British ground personnel from the years 1939 to 1945 in 1:32 scale. The figures are posed at work servicing an aircraft, so they suit bringing a flight line or a diorama beside a large-scale British aircraft model to life.
The ground personnel of the Royal Air Force handled maintenance, refueling and preparing aircraft for action. The figures capture the typical work of the technical personnel around an aircraft, and their uniforms and working postures match the reality of the period.
Cut the parts off the sprues, clean up the mold seams and glue them with cement for plastic. For a convincing result, a base coat, shading and drybrushing on the uniforms and graded shades on the faces all help. The figures come into their own in a scene with an aircraft or a vehicle.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
