Six pieces in 1:35 scale: rockets of 30 cm caliber and the wooden transport crates in which they were carried to the unit. The set makes up a rounded view on its own, because it brings together the ammunition itself with what it was stored and carried in.
The 30 cm caliber is among the later and heavier items of the German rocket armament of the Second World War, known collectively under the designation Nebelwerfer. Against the lighter rockets it is sturdier and noticeably bulkier, which can be seen well in 1:35 scale as soon as you lay it beside a figure. Handling a load like that was work for two men, and the crates answered to it.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; on resin and metal, cyanoacrylate or epoxy holds. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder so that the crates meet without a gap. Wash and degrease everything before painting. On wood a dark wash in the seams works, rounded out with a dry brush on the edges, while on the rocket itself a more uniform shade with a discreet emphasis on the division between the warhead and the body works better. Stacked crates look better when you paint each one with a slight difference of shade.
For modelers who build the back-up around their equipment in 1:35 scale: ammunition dumps, loading and a crew at rest. The figures, the vehicle model, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
