1:35 G7E/T3 German torpedo is a plastic kit of the German G7e electric torpedo of the Second World War in 1:35 scale from the maker Mikromir. It is not a model of a vessel, but of its armament.

It is a model of a weapon, not of a vessel: the finished piece is built as a separate exhibit or as an accessory to a diorama with a submarine, a torpedo trolley or a store. The G7e was a German electric torpedo of 533 millimeter caliber, around 7.2 meters long and weighing over 1600 kilograms. The warhead carried around 300 kilograms of Schiesswolle 36 explosive. Propulsion was provided by an electric motor of about 60 to 72 kilowatts fed by lead-acid batteries, which had to be maintained and preheated aboard. The speed was 30 knots and the range 5000 meters - less than on the steam-gas G7a, but in return the G7e was almost inaudible and left no bubble wake behind it, so the ship attacked did not know where the attack had come from. The T3 version received a substantially more reliable magnetic detonator and after the torpedo crisis became the standard electric ammunition of German submarines.
The main work is on the parting seams of the casing: a cylindrical body hides nothing, so fill the seams and sand them smooth through several grits. Then apply a primer coat and check the surface in a hard light. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats; on a glossy surface even fine soiling and oily traces around the propulsion will stand out. For a display case it pays to build a stand or a trolley to go with the torpedo.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
