An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M1025 Armored Carrier in 1:35 scale from Academy. It is the weapons carrier variant of the Humvee (HMMWV) family with a rotating roof station for a heavy weapon. The box contains body parts, the chassis, clear glazing parts and a decal sheet for several finishes.
The M1025 is one of the combat versions of the all-purpose HMMWV, nicknamed the Humvee. It serves as a weapons carrier: on the roof it has a ring mount with a rotating weapon station that takes a .50 caliber heavy machine gun, a lighter machine gun or an automatic grenade launcher. The basic variant has only light body armor. M1025 vehicles appeared widely in the US Army from the end of the Cold War, among other places during operations in the Persian Gulf.
Paint the chassis and the cab interior before you close the body. Glue the parts with a thin plastic cement, then fill and sand the joints. Apply a primer and spray with an airbrush — the vehicle looks good in a single-color desert finish and in the three-tone NATO camouflage alike. Finish the dust and mud on the chassis and the tires with pigments and a light wash.
