This is a photo-etched detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber for models of the American Sherman medium tanks in the M4, M4A1 and M4A3 versions, in 1:35 scale. The package contains fine parts of etched brass sheet that replace the coarser plastic items, among others the tool clamps, protective covers, handles and fittings of the hull. Note: it is not a model of a tank but a metal accessory for a plastic kit you have already bought.
The M4 Sherman was the most widespread American medium tank of the Second World War, built in many versions differing in engine and hull construction. The M4A1 had a cast hull and the M4A3 carried a powerful Ford gasoline engine. The Sherman served with the American army and with a number of Allies on every front.
The photo-etched parts are cut off with a sharp knife or with special scissors, bent in a bending tool and glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with epoxy. Fine clamps and metal handles refine the look of the hull markedly over the plastic. Degrease the metal before varnishing and prime it.
This is an accessory in photo-etched metal, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
