An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Jagdpanther tank destroyer (Sd.Kfz. 173) in the small 1:100 scale from Zvezda. The parts are snap-fit, so the model goes together even without glue, though we recommend securing the joints with a drop of cement for plastic for strength. The small scale and the lower number of parts make this a quick build suited to beginners and to tabletop war games alike.
The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer developed on the chassis of the Panther medium tank. It combined a powerful 88 mm anti-tank gun with well-sloped armor and was among the most effective and at the same time the most balanced tank destroyers of the Second World War. It was deployed in the final phase of the war on both fronts.
Snap the parts together as the instructions show and strengthen the joints with glue if you wish. In a small scale it is the overall colors and fine shading rather than small details that tell. Bring a late German camouflage to life with a dry brush on the edges, a fine wash and discreet dust pigments on the running gear and the lower areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
