The Model W.O.T. 6 is a British military truck from the Second World War. The abbreviation W.O.T. comes from War Office Truck, that is a truck supplied to the British War Office. Vehicles of this kind carried supplies, ammunition and troops and towed trailers and guns; it was unassuming equipment, without which, however, no combat unit could manage. On the shelf among tanks such a truck does a modeler good service too, because only with it does a collection look like a real unit.
It is a plastic model kit in 1:35 scale, that is in the most widespread scale for ground vehicles. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The number of parts, the contents of the decal sheet and the finishes offered are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the cut mark down, so that the mating surfaces stay flat. Paint the cab interior and the underside of the chassis before the body is closed up. Apply the basic military finish in thin coats, so that the rivets and the strips stay visible. A vehicle of this type only looks convincing once it is dusty and muddy, so it pays to finish the chassis and the wheels with pigments or with a compound for representing mud.
Paints, glue and other modeling materials are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
