A set of twelve turned brass 150 mm gun barrels in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It is a metal aftermarket accessory, not a kit. The barrels replace the plastic secondary battery barrels on models of the German battleships Bismarck, Tirpitz, Scharnhorst and Gneisenau.
German battleships of the Second World War carried 150 mm guns as their secondary armament against surface targets. This battery was arranged in turrets and casemates along the sides of the ships and supplemented the main artillery.
Turned barrels have more faithful muzzles and are tougher than plastic. Cut off the plastic barrels, clean up the openings, degrease the brass and fit the barrels with super glue. It is worth priming the metal before painting.
This is a metal detail accessory. The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
