USS Skipjack was the lead boat of an American class of nuclear attack submarines of the late 1950s. She was marked by a hydrodynamically shaped teardrop hull that became the pattern for later fast submarines.
The submarine can be built with the full hull or as a waterline version. Take care to fit the hull halves cleanly and to clean up the joint. The smooth hull comes out best when painted with an airbrush. A suitable base is useful for display.
