Seats for the Bücker Bü 181 in 1:48 scale from CMK. A 3D-printed accessory set of cockpit seats for Special Hobby kits, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set of cockpit seats for the German Bücker Bü 181 trainer in 1:48 scale, intended for Special Hobby kits. It is not an aircraft model but interior equipment that replaces the seats from the original kit. The parts are made by 3D printing, as stated on the box.
The Bü 181 seats its crew side by side under a large canopy, so the cockpit can be seen from both sides and the seats are practically all on show. An injection mold has to make them thicker than they were and simplifies the inner profile of the shell. A printed part can hold a thin wall and the curve of the backrest, so the cockpit looks different once they are in place.
The Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann was a German low-wing monoplane with a pair of seats side by side, which first flew at the end of the 1930s and became the standard basic trainer and liaison machine. It was powered by an air-cooled Hirth engine. The machine survived the war in the sense that it went on being built: after 1945 production continued in Czechoslovakia and under license in Egypt as well, so generations of pilots learned to fly on it far beyond its original purpose.
This is an accessory for the build. The Special Hobby base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
