It is a modern mold capturing the STOVL version, that is, the form with short takeoff and vertical landing. The set contains clear parts, a small photo-etched fret with details and a decal sheet with several marking options. Check the exact contents and the number of schemes against the enclosed instructions.
The Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II is a fifth-generation stealth multirole machine, and what sets the B version apart is the lift fan and the swiveling nozzle that make vertical landing possible. It serves with the US Marine Corps and with other operators running aircraft carriers and smaller carriers. It combines low radar observability, modern sensors and the ability to operate from short strips as well.
The panel lines and the stealth finish come out well when sprayed with an airbrush over primer. Finish the lift fan bay and the cockpit interior before the fuselage is closed up. The low-contrast gray shades call for careful shading; glue the photo-etched details with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
