Detailed resin set with additional photo-etch from SBS Model, meant for superdetailing the two-seat Sukhoi Su-25UB/UBK Frogfoot attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a model on its own but an upgrade set that replaces the simple plastic cockpit of the kit with a faithfully rendered pilot's compartment. The set is laid out for the Su-25UB kits from KP, Smer and AZ Model.
The set brings detailed tubs for both tandem cockpits, instrument panels, side consoles, seats and further equipment. Cast resin renders the detail far more crisply than plastic, and the photo-etch adds thin items and the seat belts. An open interior lifts the final impression of the model considerably.
Separate the resin parts from the casting blocks, wash them free of the mold release agent and degrease them; they are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bend the photo-etch and fix it with super glue as well. Protect your airways when sanding. Paint the interior and pick it out with a wash before you close up the fuselage.
This is an add-on set, not a model of an aircraft. It is supplied unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
