1:72 Caproni Ca.312 Italian Export Bomber is a plastic kit of the twin-engined Italian light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft of the late 1930s from the brand Special Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit depicts the twin-engined Italian Caproni Ca.312 aircraft, a member of the numerous Caproni Bergamaschi family of machines created in the second half of the 1930s as light bombers, reconnaissance and training aircraft. It is an injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Special Hobby, concentrating on the export form of the type.
The Caproni Ca.310 to Ca.314 family grew out of a common concept of an all-metal low-wing monoplane with two engines, retractable landing gear and a glazed nose for the observer. The Ca.312 version belonged to the export branch of the program and was powered by radial engines, whereas related versions were built with inline engines. Foreign orders were marked by the outbreak of the war, so some of the aircraft built ended up serving at home. The type was used for light bombing, reconnaissance, maritime patrol and training crews.
With kits of this type it pays to dry-fit the parts consistently and to clean the flash off the mating surfaces before gluing. Glue the fuselage with its glazed nose calmly and in stages, so that it does not warp. Use liquid cement for polystyrene and mask the cockpit and the clear parts before spraying. The recommended painting sequence: filler primer, the covering shades, a gloss clear coat under the decals, and once dry, evening out with a matte varnish and a fine picking out of the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
