Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the jet fighter-bomber Republic F-84F Thunderstreak in the markings of the West Luftwaffe in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Special Hobby. The premium Hi Tech edition extends the basic kit with extras above the standard: it contains pre-cut masking film and a set of 3D-printed parts which make it possible to build the forward gun bay open. It is a combination of good plastic and modern 3D-printed detail for more demanding builders.
The Republic F-84F Thunderstreak was an American jet fighter-bomber developed from the straight-winged F-84 Thunderjet, from which it differed in its swept wing and tail surfaces and in a more powerful engine. In the second half of the 1950s and in the 1960s it formed the backbone of the strike squadrons of a number of NATO states including the West Luftwaffe, where it also served as a carrier of tactical strike weapons. It was marked by a rugged structure and good performance at low level.
We recommend a thin cement for plastic and careful cleaning up of the parts. Wash any residues off the 3D-printed parts enclosed and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The pre-cut masks make clean spraying of the canopy framing easier. Metal surfaces show to good effect after a base primer and airbrush application of metallic shades; a fine wash will pick out the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
