The Mirage III E/R/5 in 1:72 scale is an injection-molded plastic kit of the French supersonic fighter from Heller.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary French delta-wing fighter in 1:72 scale from the long-established maker Heller. It is a classic tooling with raised panel lines that allows several versions of the Mirage III to be built: the E fighter, the R reconnaissance machine and the export 5. The package contains plastic sprues including clear parts, decals and instructions with several marking options for different air forces.
The Dassault Mirage III was one of the most successful European supersonic fighters. Its characteristic tailless layout with a delta wing gave it high speed and good handling at high altitude. The Mirage III E version was a multi-role fighter and strike machine, the Mirage III R served for tactical reconnaissance with cameras in the nose, and the Mirage 5 was a simplified export derivative for daylight attack duties. The type flew in many countries and was used in a number of conflicts.
With an older tooling with raised lines it pays to dry-fit carefully and to fill the seams, above all at the joint of the fuselage and the leading edges of the wing. Join the plastic with thin modeling cement. Apply a primer before painting, which evens out the surface and improves adhesion. Choose the matching camouflage according to the version and the country, or a silver or gray base; lay the decals onto a gloss coat and finally even the surface out with a matte or semi-gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
