An injection-molded plastic kit of the Molch midget submarine in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer ICM. The model faithfully captures the sectioned hull with a detailed surface and is complemented by two torpedoes under the keel. It is a modern mold, and thanks to the lower number of parts the kit is manageable even for less experienced modelers.
The Molch was a single-seat German midget submarine deployed in coastal waters as part of special attack units. The hull was made up of three sections, with the single crew member seated in the middle. The submarine reached a diving depth of around sixty meters and traveled at a few knots below the surface. Several hundred were built and they were deployed in the Mediterranean and the North Sea.
Cut the parts off with a thin knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Finish the internal details before closing the hull. We recommend a primer base, spraying with an airbrush and final washes and pigments to bring out the rivets and traces of corrosion.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
