Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unassembled and unpainted plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Zvezda. The package contains war elephants with a tower and crew together with foot and mounted figures. The set is intended for collectors of historical miniatures, for diorama makers and for tabletop battle games set in the Hellenistic wars.
Greek armies first met war elephants during the campaign into India. Elephants with fighting towers were first brought into European warfare by the Epirote king Pyrrhus, and afterwards practically every Hellenistic army of Europe and Asia took them up, including the armies that faced Rome. The elephant carried a tower with warriors on its back and was a feared shock and psychological weapon on the battlefield.
Separate both the larger elephant parts and the small figures from the sprue and clean up the flash. Glue the plastic with thin cement for plastic. Bring the elephant hide to life with a dark wash and a dry brush, and paint the fabrics and harness in contrast for a three-dimensional, realistic look.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
