An injection-molded plastic model of the Soviet cross-country truck ZiL-157 in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. It was a six-wheeled (6x6) army vehicle famous for its excellent going across country, which became the basis for a whole range of special vehicles. The box contains injection-molded plastic parts and a decal sheet.
The ZiL-157 was built at the Moscow car plant from the end of the 1950s and is one of the best-known Soviet trucks. It was powered by an inline six-cylinder gasoline engine and the vehicle had a tire pressure regulation system. It served with the Soviet army and with the armies of the Warsaw Pact and became the chassis for tankers, signals stations, rocket launchers and missile carriers.
Assemble the chassis, the axles and the engine bay first, then the cab and the cargo bed. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, fill the seams and sand them smooth. Apply primer and paint with an airbrush; bring the typical military green to life by picking out the panels with a wash, and apply dust and mud pigments to the chassis and the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
