An injection-molded plastic kit of the BMW HP4 Race sports motorcycle in 1:9 scale from the manufacturer Meng. It is an officially licensed model with a faithfully rendered four-cylinder engine and a carbon fiber frame. The box includes a set of decals with a carbon fiber texture, which makes it easy to get the characteristic look of the carbon parts. The front and rear suspension and the steering damper are movable on the model.
The BMW HP4 Race was a racing special from BMW Motorrad, built in small numbers only. It was one of the first series-offered motorcycles to receive a complete frame of carbon fiber. It was powered by an inline four-cylinder engine of 999 cc with an output of around 215 horsepower; the whole machine weighed only about 146 kg and reached a speed of over 300 km/h.
Glue the parts with a liquid cement for plastic and sand the mold seams down carefully. Assemble and paint the frame and the engine before closing the bodywork. For a faithful look use the decals with the carbon fiber texture, bring out the gloss painted areas with a gloss clear coat and do not forget the decals. Leave the chrome and metal parts for the end.
