Two rolls of masking tape 2 millimeters wide and 18 meters long. Narrow tape for bounding color fields and curves.
Responsibility details are not available.
A twin pack of narrow masking tape two millimeters wide and eighteen meters long per roll. It is not a paint and not a glue, but an aid for painting: a narrow strip can be run along a curve too, so it marks out a boundary where wide tape would wrinkle and paint would run underneath.
It will be appreciated by anyone who masks by hand and has no pre-cut masks. Two rolls last a long time, because narrow tape is used up by the centimeter, not by the meter. It suits military camouflage with hard transitions best, racing cars with color stripes, and anywhere a boundary has to be run along a curve.
On camouflage transitions it pays to mark out only the outline with the tape and to cover the rest of the area with paper or wider tape. You save material and the boundary stays precise. If you want a soft transition, stick the tape a little above the surface, onto a strip of thin card for instance, and the paint will get under it partly, in a fine mist.
Stick the tape down and press it along its whole length with a fingernail or a wooden stick, so that it seats. Lay the paint on in thin coats, otherwise the overflow will get under the edge. Remove it at an angle and while the varnish is still fresh; in a cured finish it can tear the edge away.
