Lifecolor UA844 Feuerrot RAL 3000 Matt

A modeling paint of the Italian brand Lifecolor from the UA range, the manufacturer's part number UA844. An acrylic paint with a water-thinnable binder in a matte finish, in a bottle of 22 ml. It is not a kit and not an accessory for a build, but a separate paint for brush as well as airbrush.

The shade and the standard code

The production name of the shade is Feuerrot and the standard code RAL 3000. The number decides, not the name: RAL is an internationally used standard of shades, so the same code means the same shade with every paint manufacturer, and the 3000 group is the group of red shades. The German name is a production designation, which is why it is left here in its original form together with the code. The manufacturer places this shade among the period colors of the German railways of the Second World War period, which it also offers as the set XS17 German Railways Colors WWII Era.

Use

• Airbrush: thin with water or with Lifecolor thinner to a milky consistency and spray at low pressure.
• Brush: several thin coats, let each one dry through completely.
• Saturated reds cover less well, so apply them over a light primer.
• Stir the bottle before work, the pigment settles to the bottom.
• Under decals give the surface a coat of gloss varnish compatible with acrylic.

Who the paint is for

For builders of period locomotives, carriages and railway equipment who want the shade by standard number. It also suits small details and accessories where the same red is used. Work in a ventilated room and do not leave the paint within reach of children.
