About product

Mr.Paint Aircraft Grey-Green BS283

A solvent-based lacquer paint in a gray-green shade to the British standard BS381C:283 Aircraft Grey Green. This tone is the classic interior color of British aircraft, used above all in cockpits and internal spaces. The paint is applied with an airbrush, lays down in a very thin film, covers well and dries quickly to a smooth, uniform surface.

Use

  • Applied with an airbrush only, in thin coats
  • It is thinned with lacquer thinner, never with water
  • Suitable for the interiors and cockpits of British aircraft
  • The thin film preserves the fine detail of the internal parts
  • Fast drying speeds up work on interior assemblies

Who the paint is for

The paint will be appreciated by modelers of British aircraft who need an accurate interior gray-green, and by everyone who paints cockpits and internal spaces with an airbrush. The shade matches the standard BS381C:283; the lacquer film holds on plastic and on primer and takes subsequent washes and matte varnishes for bringing out detail. A wash added afterward then flows nicely into the shadows of the interior and brings out the individual items of the cockpit and the instruments.

A flammable liquid containing solvents. Spray in a well-ventilated space or in an extraction booth, use a respirator, protect it from open flame and keep out of the reach of children.
