The CH-47 Chinook from the Armed Forces range is a kit of plastic bricks of the COBI brand — a model of the transport helicopter with a tandem rotor arrangement, assembled with no glue and no painting.

A model of the heavy transport helicopter built from the system of plastic bricks of the Polish manufacturer COBI. This is not an injection-molded plastic model: the parts are not cut from sprues, not glued, sanded or sprayed, they are merely clicked together according to pictorial instructions. The coloring of the fuselage and of the rotor pylons is given by the shade of the bricks and by printing. With this manufacturer the Armed Forces range is reserved for contemporary military hardware.
The Chinook is a transport helicopter with a tandem arrangement of two contra-rotating main rotors — one at the front, the other on a raised rear pylon. This solution does without a balancing tail rotor and allows a wide range of center of gravity positions, which is useful when loading bulky cargo. The fuselage has a through cargo compartment with a rear loading ramp, and loads can also be carried as a sling load on hooks under the fuselage. The landing gear is four-wheel and fixed. The type is among the longest-produced helicopters of its category and exists in a series of modernized versions, which differ in equipment and engines.
The build calls for no tools or chemicals. Put the long fuselage together on a flat surface and keep checking that the layers have seated fully home — on a tandem helicopter a deviation shows in the front and rear rotor pylons not standing on the same axis. Leave both pylons and the rotor blades to the end, so they do not come loose during handling. The rotor blades are the most exposed part of the model, so handle the finished helicopter by the fuselage, not by the rotors. For permanent display a closed case of sufficient width is advisable.
The kit is supplied unassembled. The bricks are joined by clicking together; glue and paints are not needed to finish it and are not included in the package.
